Abstract
Too often in Historical films there can be subtractors from that cause the film to be set in the modern day rather then the time period being portrayed. It can be simple things such as the dialogue, costume or even sometimes set. However, the worst affliction often found within historical films is the presence of modern day idealism. While it may be nice to try and view history threw a schwed vision of what we wished it to be rather that what it truly was it is important for the film genre to recognize historical ideals no matter how bad they were. Instead of injecting our contemporary ideals into them.
