Abstract
The objective of this research is to examine the effectiveness of school-based child abuse prevention programs in regard to helping children gain knowledge of abuse and teach them how to properly respond if found in an abusive situation. A systematic review of studies conducted to assess the impact of these policies indicated that the policies are indeed an effective means in providing children with the knowledge and understanding of child abuse through engaging programs. There are some considered factors that needed to be included to make the programs as successful as possible but overall, these programs did what they sought out to do.
