Abstract
In this presentation, I argue that if we look at Scott Pilgrim vs the World, we will see that the film heavily showcases themes of hegemonic and toxic masculinity, which is important because many men who view this film believe that it and its main character stand on a pedestal and should be revered as role models for a generation of fanboys when, in reality, the movie should be seen as the exact opposite.
