Description
Arsenic contamination in food and beverages is an overlooked problem that could cause harm to consumers. Wines are known to contain trace amounts of arsenic, and there is currently no regulation limit for this in the United States. X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy (XRF) will be used to analyze concentrations of total arsenic in wine. From this experiment we hope to develop a new method for measuring low concentrations of arsenic in wine using XRF.
