Description

M. Kate Childress was born in 1866 in Jetersville, Virginia. She was a member of the first class of students to attend State Female Normal School when it opened in 1884.

This autograph book dates from 1884 to 1889 and contains signatures and quotes from many of Kate Childress' classmates and teachers.
