Abstract
The following research was conducted in order to inform my audience of the common misperception within the LGBTQ community. My research is geared toward the LGBTQ youth community and how events such as discrimination, disclosing their sexual orientation, and being accepted or reject by others alters their mental health. As well as how students are not educated on this topic in the classroom setting.
