Abstract
We will be evaluating and comparing different types of nursing handoff reports, such as verbal versus bedside. We researched different research articles and studies that compared bedside handoff reports to verbal handoff reports. These studies analyzed the effect on patients, such as safety and satisfaction, from the type of handoff report. In our research, we compared the advantages and disadvantages of verbal and bedside reports and found strategies to improve handover reports. From this information it was concluded that the bedside report is more effective than a verbal report for the patient and nurse.
