Abstract
The effects of pesticide use on bird populations in Santa Barbara, CA and Waynesboro, VA were researched. It was expected that there would be an increase in bird populations and biodiversity in Santa Barbara due to a pesticide ban and a decrease in populations in Waynesboro due to no attempt to regulate pesticide use. The results did not support the hypothesis and bird species seemed to increase and decrease regardless of where they were located.
