Proposal Title
Topic
Counseling
Description
Sex education is a program of which most public schools in the United States implement with children and adolescence. Unfortunately, there is a profound gap in the literature that is available on this topic. The literature which does exist on sex education programs implies that current programs do not yield successful practice of safe sex by students and that there may be more effective interventions to consider when developing a sex education program. To create an effective sex education program which will generate lower rates of risky sexual behavior in adolescence, a program evaluation should be completed to gather data and provide information on tested interventions which can be included in the curriculum. Keywords: sex education, safe sex, teen pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases
