Abstract

Often, educators recommend that school-age children attend an outdoor summer camp in between school sessions. While summer camps throughout history have been recommended based off of the idea that attending a summer camp will help the child excel socially and academically, no studies have been done to assess people’s attitudes regarding camping experiences once they have grown up. This study analyzes opinions of women at Longwood College regarding past camping experiences.
