Abstract
This project looks at the evidence and benefits of the use of electronic health records (EHRs). Electronic health records are real-time, digital versions of a patient’s paper chart. Electronic health records keep information secure and confidential while making information available instantly to available users. Electronic health record systems have transformed health care systems from paper-based records to a system that utilizes clinical and other pieces of information to assist providers in delivering the highest quality of care to their patients.
