This presentation will discuss effective methodology of incorporating active learning strategies to facilitate the literacy learning process. Its focus will be on three essential elements that teachers can implement in their classroom: organizing, reflecting, and representing thinking. A number of different strategies will be discussed to provide concrete examples of how to infuse each element in both the presentation and processing of new literacy material.
