Description

Individual health condition are often thought of as occurring in or affecting only a particular part of the body. Hearing loss is often thought of as occurring in our ears. This presentation will summarize research findings related to: 1) Increased risk of hearing loss when diabetes is present, and 2) Increased risks of depression, and hospitalizations when hearing loss is present. The information presented here should be utilized by clinicians in any field, so they may consider incorporating hearing screenings/assessments as part of overall patient care.
