Delta Psi Kappa, a women’s physical education honorary society, was founded in 1916 at the Normal College of the American Gymnastic Union. Its original purpose was to further the aims and ideals of the profession of physical education. Included in the ranks of the organization is Gertrude Ederle, the first woman to swim the English Channel.
