Description

This is a near life size, realistic, functional model of the lower respiratory system that aids in the discussion of how we breath for life sustaining purposes and how that changes when we use our breath for speech.

Comments

The first file is a video of the model functioning. The Diaphragm flattens and moves down allowing lungs to inflate and the ribs move to accommodate those changes, then as the diaphragm returns to it's dome shape the lungs empty and the ribs return to a resting position. The second file is a picture from the front showing the ribs and attributed muscles.
