Incite: The Journal of Undergraduate Scholarship Initial Submission (Office of Student Research)

INCITE is the undergraduate research journal for Longwood University. Dedicated to publishing the best work of undergraduate students across the disciplines, INCITE is a faculty-reviewed journal produced at the end of each academic year. Students who submit their original work to INCITE are eligible for a series of monetary awards, and their work is showcased during the university-wide Student Showcase for Research and Creative Inquiry.

Longwood Senior Thesis Proposal (Office of Student Research)

Introduction

The Longwood Senior Thesis program is a three-semester long project, open to all departments at Longwood University. Students who wish to participate in the program must meet academic requirements and have a faculty sponsor. For all requirements, visit the Senior Thesis Program website. The Longwood Senior Thesis Proposal is the first step in the process, requiring students to find and work with a faculty sponsor to complete a 7-8 page research proposal. The proposal is then submitted here in Digital Commons and reviewed by the Senior Thesis Committee.

The Omnipedia Review

The Omnipedia Review, whose title combines Greek and Latin for “all knowledge,” is a student-refereed review journal for bibliographic research for all disciplines. Housed at Longwood University, it publishes review essays (comparative review of 2-4 scholarly books), review articles (standalone literature reviews) and annotated bibliographies. Bibliographic research reflects the knowledge that is the basis for all inquiry, and The Omnipedia Review provides a scholarly space for this foundational work. The journal accepts submissions September 1 – May 30.
