Abstract

Autism is a disability that falls into the continuum of Pervasive Developmental Disorders that most significantly affects a person’s ability to communicate with others. The cause of autism is unknown although hundreds of thousands of individuals are affected by it every year. This thesis examines the effects of sensory stimulation reduction in the classroom on the attentiveness of students with autism.
